THE PARTY
Enter this room and get sucked into a party by a quasi fashion-label and a commentary on our consumption of images
Mixing motifs and elements of nature, culture, humanity, design, art, architecture and typography, the artist presents this artifact of the pseudo fashion brand Zeix. Inspired by his own name, it is a label that he has played with since 2000. The images come from different knowledge sources, levels and contexts and have been reappropriated into this collage. The project is a reflection on our relationship with images in the age of the Internet Revolution, which has enabled a continuous visual stream in which photographs have lost their depth and we have become de-sensitized to their impact. The motifs are extracted from the Artist’s 2016 digital-prints-on-silk series “The Post Industrial Grid (P.I.G)“ which reflects upon this two-dimensional grid in which all our images have been flattened.

ABOUT JEROME CHAZEIX
Jérôme Chazeix works are contemporary works of art. The focus of his artistic work is the combination of different media and their cross-references. Sculptures, videos and drawings are the preferred elements of his work. They integrate, among other things, in their installations, environments, or performances and combine to create an overwhelming and complex scenario which leads to a crystallization, an associative process, like a network of facets, a cosmos. Often associated performances, which are part of the overall concept as participatory projects, are realized in the installations and presented permanently as videos. A visual fusion, the staging extends across the entire space and invites you to enter this world.
