Let the collaboration begin!
The AI is working. The group is gathered. It is getting loud. Collaboration is noisy and dirty. As sky blue as the atmosphere. It sounds like noise of birds, blowing of the wind.Collaboration is turbulent. Generated using teachablemachine.withgoogle.com and p5.js

The Poetry of Machine Learning
My opening notes for today read like a poem: Creativity and dexterity of Hands. Fundamental elements of nature. Fascination with imitating nature And how it works To understand ourselves Manipulation of nature Humans the great manipulators Robotic forced labour We are the stories that we tell ourselves It’s becoming clear that every day throws up […]

Puppet and Poetry D2.
Great start of this session with intro from mechanical automata! I was fascinated by mechanical automaton after seeing the film Hugo. However I did not explore more about it then and its links with ML and AI. Making begins! Teachable Machine demo. My edited poem for this demo : feeling brownish today . . . smell […]

Unwelcome, Silenced
Today we trained our computer to recognize some objects and associate those objects with poems that we had written. It was nice to work with such a straight forward, code-free app. I finished early and tried styling my output with some css, it didn’t work out very well.

Teachable Machine… Experiment
Here’s a link to my Teachable Machine Learning Experiment. This version is live. For the experiment to work, I need to be sitting behind the camera, teasing the machine. *See above for a screen capture.* I used the first three lines of Puck’s closing monologue from Shakespeare’s comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream (1595/96). (Monday morning […]

Lively Poems
Today we started with a brilliant and thought provoking talk by Hasan: From Clock to Clock Maker. He spoke of the importance of the people behind the algorithm, and posed the question, why do we as a species want to recreate nature and intelligence? Also the geneolgy of clock making, and how some early clock […]

Unpredictability is..
Based on the poem that was generated on Day 01, we explored how to associate different objects to each line. We were able to train a model so that it could recognize these objects. And so, as the outcome of Day 02’s exercise we had a small web app that recognized objects and prompted the […]

Immersion
Immersion is electric, like a pool at night. It sounds like chaos at firstIt sounds like chaos at firstand then a comfortable calm. Immersion to me means having a cozy corner at night, with my tools and a single source of light. I enjoy the chaos going on in my head that is complimented by the quiet […]

Subversion is…
Subversion is as hot pink as a baboon’s behind. It’s the scratch of a record in reverse. Subversion is empowerment. I took a fairly literal approach to choosing my objects/triggers here. I think next time I might choose different objects that “subvert” the viewer’s expectations… I like where the text begins to break down at […]

Interrogate- Identify Poem
-By Ayesha M. Ali Onto a new journey of identifying through a single word to then creating machine learned identity for myself. Process is transforming as well as enticing. Dedicating this poem to all my Befantastic Furry Fellows of Jaaga! 🙂 Final Poem! 🙂 https://editor.p5js.org/curiouswala/present/p5LmHvvxt Every chance is of a brownish hue, bathing in Moonlight […]

Creating and visualisng a Poem
On the first day we had to write a poem. Then we trained an AI that when recognising certain objects certain phrases would appear. It is an interesting tool to learn a machine to recognise certain objects and open up a lot of possibilities.
